The New Plumbing Stereotype
Do you know the old plumbing stereotype in which some sloppy, unprofessional person shows up at your door with pants that can’t quite keep themselves up? The one where you end up spending way more time and money than expected on what seemed to be a simple plumbing issue? Well, we’ve heard that story far too many times in our 35 years in the plumbing business, and we’re here to overturn those assumptions.
Each day as a Las Vegas plumbing company, we’re continually focused on shattering that age-old plumber stereotype and resetting industry expectations as a way to serve our customers best. Here are a few of the new qualities that we’d like our customers and future customers to associate with the “new” plumbing stereotype:
Honesty
Honest pricing and honest people is what sets a great plumber apart. As a second-generation family-owned business, we’d be hard-pressed to keep customers if we weren’t continuously and meticulously honest. When a pipe leaks, a new bathroom remodel needs new piping, or something’s up with the faucet, a homeowner shouldn’t have to worry about anything other than what’s next. No surprise fees. No wrong diagnoses. Just expert advice and costs relative to when it’s necessary to resolve your plumbing issues.
Respect
Respect is a common courtesy that we owe every individual with whom we come into contact. Yet, that old plumbing stereotype brings to mind rude, fast-talking, or plumbers who only care about getting a job done fast and not right for their customers. A respectful plumber shows up on time, asks questions that will help uncover what’s the issue, and treats every home and customer like it’s the most important job they’ll do that day.
Professionalism (Clean-cut)
We pride ourselves (and all of our crewmembers) in wearing professional clothing that doesn’t overshare our assets. We show up in company vans or trucks, so you know who to expect at your home and aren’t worried about welcoming them inside.
Professionalism is such an essential part of plumbing that we can’t stress enough how big of a difference this makes for our customers, but also our brand as a plumbing company.
Licensed & Certified
An ROC License is the minimum criteria for a contractor to meet to service their clients in that state or city. In our decades in business, we’ve found that people aren’t super happy if you do the bare minimum, though. That’s why the new plumbing stereotype shouldn’t only be licensed. They should be certified in their areas of expertise and continue to renew certifications and train their employees regularly.
We know it’s hard to lose the image of the do-more-harm-than-good plumber. We assure you that the new plumbing stereotype is one that offers honest pricing and expertise for plumbing repair and maintenance, and clean-cut, friendly certified technicians right to your home.
